PEPPER
Pepper was lovingly fostered by Debbie Turner in Florida.
Pepper had been turned in
to a shelter by his owner, but it wasn't longer before,
Debbie came to his aid.
Nancy and Roger had been
waiting a very long time for the right schnauzer to come
along, - one that was comfortable around kids.
Pepper was adopted on June
28th by Nancy and Roger Loftis.

MAGGIE
(now Shuzy)
Maggie was fostered and loved to
pieces by Jennie & Ron Gillihan in Newnan, GA.
Maggie went to her forever home
on June 23rd. She was adopted by Diane and Stan Nelson and brother
"Sox" (who is about
Maggie’s age) of Dawsonville, GA. The Nelsons
have changed her name from Maggie to Shuzy, to go with Sox!
Sox and Shuzy will have a huge
fenced back yard to play in, a doggie door to use to potty,
and forever parents who already love her fiercely. Diane
has promised to send pictures…what a great ending for such a
wonderful little girl who had such an unhappy beginning!

LORI
Lori was fostered with much love and care by Julie Ingersoll
in Jacksonville, FL..
Lori’s new “mom” Susan Strauss,
drove all the way from South Florida to adopt her on Sunday,
June 17th. Susan was overjoyed to get Lori. Lori was a
little timid at first, - she had begun bonding with her foster
mom, but as you can see; she's in her forever home now.

David hopes to create a doggie day care center with a
serenity garden where human seniors will be invited to spend
time with some of the dogs, such that both the seniors who
miss having an animal companion and the dogs, benefit. We
hope David’s vision becomes reality.

BEN
(previously Benjy)
Julie Ingersoll lovingly fostered Benjy (now Ben”) two years
ago.
Ben had never been posted on Happy Tails, so when Julie
received a wonderful letter from Ben’s “dad”, she wanted to
share it with everyone.
Ben was adopted by David Lemeur. David
recently noticed Ben was drinking too much water and
urinating excessively. A medical examination found that Ben
has diabetes. David now administers 2 insulin shots daily
and monitors Ben’s condition carefully.
David has experienced such joy with Ben and his other
Schnauzer Boulud, that he purchased some land and is opening
a doggie day care center. David writes; “The dogs life
my spirits. I have come to realize that what I do (as a
chef) professionally is secondary. My job, - my raison
d’etre is to move closer to God. The idea that I can earn
money in a way that enriches my spirit is lovely.”
