"Happy Tails" to all of our former foster dogs who found loving homes!  Here are photos of some of SLR's recent Happy Tails!

TIA

Tia was lovingly fostered by Sharon & Bill Edelman in Florida.

When Tia  came into rescue, her skin was black with sparse hair growth, severe allergies, tick and flea infestation.  With diligent care, Tia’s hair has grown back and her skin is turning pink again.

Tia was adopted on June 12th by Terry and Don
Ross.  Tia also has a new "brother" named Chance.

                           WOOHOO  TIA ! ! !

    MICKEY

Mickey was lovingly fostered in two wonderful homes.  First by Margaret Pittman in Florida, who brought Mickey into Schnauzer Love Rescue.  Secondly by Judy & Mike Colvin in Georgia who cared for Mickey while he had his cataract surgery and after-care.  What a wonderful team effort!

Two year old Mickey was adopted by Jim & Stefanie Curland in Georgia.  Mickey will be spending his summers in the beautiful mountains of NE Georgia and his winters in Naples, FL.

Mickey's new parents simply adore him!

FRITZ

Fritz was fostered with much love and care by Julie Ingersoll.

Fritz is six years old and was pulled from a shelter in S.C. by Tina Hughes.  Fritz was fostered by Julie Ingersoll in FL.  A friend of Julie's was kind enough to give Fritz a ride "home" to GA today.  Fritz will have a schnauzer brother named Gus who is two years old.

Fritz was adopted by Catherine and Chris Keith of Alpharetta, GA.  Catherine's parents also have two female minis so when the family gets together, there will be a schnauzer party!

RHETT

Rhett was lovingly fostered by Diane and Mark Harris in Ocean Springs, MS.

This is what Rhett’s new family wrote to tell us about Rhett:

“Rhett is great!  He and Lady are the best of friends, playing endlessly it seems.  We knew from the first that they would do well together.  We had them to the groomers two weeks ago.  Lady started whining and Rhett went over to comfort her. They told us that both Rhett and Lady lay down and cuddled each other.  They feel that there is real love between them.  You wouldn’t think so when you see them rough-housing together.  The two of them complement each other with their different personalities.

Rhett is submissive most of the time but does assert himself at times.  He manages to dominate when affection and touching is concerned, be it laying across my lap on the couch or cuddling up close to me when we go to bed.  He puts himself under my armpit, laying on his back with his head on the pillow beside mine.  Eventually, he rolls on his side, with his leg across my chest.  Lady cannot dislodge him, so she curls up between my legs and falls asleep there.  Good thing that I can sleep on my back because rolling over is out of the question.  Poor Myrna, she couldn’t get close if she wanted to.

Lady has brought a lot of joy to our lives, but Rhett has added a new dimension to our happiness.  He is a wonderful dog and a great friend and companion for Lady.”

Rhett was adopted by Bob and Myma Wood.

                   WAY TO GO RHETT ! ! !

BONZ

Bonz was lovingly fostered by Tina Hughes.

Tina said when she picked Bonz up from a shelter in Union, SC, his hair was at least 4 or 5 inches long and almost orange in color.  She took him straight to the groomer.  When she saw Bonz after his grooming, she couldn't believe someone would get rid of such a beautiful dog.

He came right into her home and made himself comfortable.  He got along great with Tina’s other fur-kids and Bonz was already house broken.  He was quiet for a schnauzer.

Bonz was adopted by Cami Legacy and her son from Rome, GA.  Tina knows that Bonz is happy because he gets to stay with his new grandmother during the day and play with his new cousins - an Airedale and another schnauzer.
