Howdy folks, my name is Pappy.
That’s the name the foster dad and mom
gave me. You see, nobody knows much
about me because I was dumped over the
fence at a shelter after they had
closed. They found me sad and just
sitting by the front door when the
shelter staff got to work the next
morning. They think I am about 10 years
old, but please don't hold that against
me because I still have a lot of love to
give.
I am a pretty good lookin dude, don't
you think, especially in my classy
Americana neck scarf. I am a
lighter salt and pepper with natural
ears, that can express my thoughts, and
a docked tail. I am not a big boy
weighing in at just 17 lbs.
My foster dad says I am a “lounge
lizard”! I have several short periods of
fiestyness each day, like play
growling/barking and chasing my fur
brother Slater- Pappy style! I have a
certain swagger in my walk because I
must have had some nerve
damage/compression in my hind leg.
However, that doesn’t stop me from
getting up and down off the back deck.
I lost a few teeth in my dental, but let
me tell you that certainly has not
stopped me when it comes mealtime. I
sometimes try to convince my fur sister
to “share”. I like to sit outside in the
warm sun, play “hand”, and just relax! I
am housetrained, crate trained, up to
date on all my shots and on heartworm
preventative.
I would probably do best in a home with
an older couple or someone who has older
children. I think that I might like to
have a “fur” brother or sister as long
as he or she is not overly dominant or
rough. I ride well in the car too.
If would like to have a mature,
good-look guy as a devoted and loving
best friend, then I’m your man!
Just put "Pappy" on your application. |
