PEARL

Pearl is being fostered in Ocoee, Florida.

Pearl is about 10-12 yrs old, female, salt&pepper with cropped ears & docked tail.

Pearl has 2 mini-schnauzer foster brothers that she tolerates, but if they get too rowdy & play too close to her for comfort, she'll chase them away & give them a piece of her mind! She would probably best enjoy being the only dog.

Pearl is very sweet & loving with her foster momma & will play chase only with momma. She sleeps most of the day & snores. She loves her beds, - has one in momma's bedroom and one in the family room so her old body can always be comfortable. She cannot jump onto furniture because of her arthritis in her back legs but loves when you pick her up to cuddle for a nap!

She came to her foster home VERY sick, - had all but three of her teeth removed along with her ovaries & uterus. We really weren't sure she'd make it through the operation, but here she is, a perky, young-at-heart sweety!

Pearl does fine without her teeth, eats a soft diet with 3 vitamin supplements (inexpensive) & is often heard in the kitchen sneaking bites of the boys' kibble late at night

Pearl has never had an accident in the house and doesn't seem to mind being left at home while her foster parents go to work. She walks great on a leash but barks at everyone she doesn't know. We question how well Pearl can see or hear, she just recently took to her new name & answers to it, should probably remain Pearl in her forever home for her sake.
